The Radio Department-Headed by Mrs. Mpunga Chipepo Simukwai
The Radio department which is one of the electronic departments of ZAMCOM has a large recording studio fully fitted with radio recording equipment that tally with modern production and training needs.
ZAMCOM's radio facilities consists one large audio studio where panel discussions, dramas and music can be recorded in stereo as well as reel to reel.
This big and spacious studio is able to record very big choirs or groups professionally and to very good standard
The studio is equipped with compact discs, reel-to-reel, digital audio tapes, audio cassettes and computer hard disc audio recording systems
This department is mandated to carry out all production and training related to radio which include the 2 weeks and 6 months courses in Radio production. The department also carries out studio and Outside Broadcast production for different clients from time to time throughout the year.
The 2 weeks and 6 months short courses cover various aspects of radio production including writing for radio, becoming a radio voice, on air presentation, packaging radio pieces, types of radio programmes, editing using adobe audition 3.0 and much more.
